Vision for Growth
Rogers County has been consistently ranked as the fastest-growing county in Oklahoma and projected to grow an additional 37% over the next 20 years. With the aim to manage the impact of this growth, Rogers County Commissioners, and partner communities serving on the Comprehensive Planning Advisory Committee, have launched the Imagine Rogers County initiative. This study fosters intentional growth patterns, identifies, and protects local resources, enhances the quality of life that Rogers County citizens are asking for, and ensures future infrastructure investments that support the overall vision.
Building a Strong Community
Initiated by community leader of Rogers County, the bedrock of the Imagine Rogers County initiative is formed from a community-based process that solicits feedback and ideas from local citizens. This input is integral to the creation of a strong collaborative vision that manages the impact of projected growth, sensitive to the community needs, and enhances the lives of both current and future residents.
Quality Open Spaces
Garrison/Jones was specifically tasked to envision a variety of signature civic spaces, ranging from a signature park within the urban center to a regional park connecting the Town of Catoosa to the Verdigris River. Unique and connected open spaces are integral to fostering a connection to nature, hosting community events, establishing a sense of community, and overall improving the health and well-being of local residents.
